Programs

DAY 01 VENICE / PADUA/ BOLOGNA / RAVENNA

Departure from Venice to Padua, whose most important sight is Cappella degli Scrovegni (1303), other Padua’s treasures are the Basilica di Sant’Antonio, the Donatello’s statue of the mercenary leader Gattamelata, Piazza dei Signori and Palazzo della Ragione. Transfer to Bologna, famous for food, reputed the best in Italy, and the University, one of Europe’s oldest.

DAY 02 BOLOGNA / RAVENNA

After breakfast you will enjoy a city tour including Piazza Nettuno, Church of San Petronio, Palazzo dell’Archiginnasio, Torre Garisenda and Torre degli Asinelli, the twin leaning towers. Transfer to Ravenna, dinner and overnight.

DAY 03 RAVENNA

Full day city tour including Basilica di San Vitale , Mausoleo di Galla Placidia, Piazza del Popolo lined with fine old buildings, Battistero Neoniano, Sant’Apollinare Nuovo. Visit Tomba di Dante burial place of Dante Alighieri, the florentine poet who died in the city in 1321.

DAY 04 RAVENNA / SAN MARINO / URBINO

Departure for San Marino, an indipendent Republic, impressive hilltop town, with a great view that makes the journey worthy. After lunch transfer to Urbino. The city was once one of Europe’s great Renaissance court. Today Urbino is one of Italy’s best kept secrets, in truth superior of many more famous towns.

DAY 05 URBINO

Morning city tour including Palazzo Ducale an almost perfect Renaissance Palace by Laurana, National Gallery containing 3 of the greatest Raphael’s masterpieces. Visit Casa Natale di Raffaello.

DAY 06 URBINO / AREZZO / FLORENCE

Departure for Arezzo. Stop over at Monterchi to see one of the most famous and unique fresco by Piero della Francesca, La Madonna del Parto. Afternoon city tour including Piazza Grande oddly sloping square, Santa Maria a magical 12th cent Church. Transfer to Florence, dinner and overnight.

DAY 07 FLORENCE

In the morning enjoy a guided visit to Uffizi Gallery. Afternoon at your leisure we will suggest you a fantastic restaurant where you can taste the famous and original “Fiorentina”.

DAY 08 FLORENCE

Full day at leisure.

DAY 09 DEPARTURE

Flight back to your country.
